Ermal Hadribeaj (Albania – based in Miami) retained his WBC International Superwelter weight crown against young unbeaten Ukraine’s Bohdan Shtonda last January 27th at the Motor World in Köln (Cologne-Germany) in a good 10-round title bout. Ermal outpointed Shtonda to remain unbeaten at 18-0, 7. The champion was scheduled to make another title defence on May 11th in Köln (Germany), but a left hand injury he suffered while training forced the bout to be postponed to next summer. Ermal had a successful easy surgery at the beinning of last May and he is ready to defend is crown on September 7th in Köln (Germany) against unbeaten Younes Zarraa. Both contenders had no problems at the official weigh-in in Cologne as they both scaled 69.300 kgs.
